Data collection is the basis for ABA. Data ensures objectivity and allows you to compare teaching effort and learning accomplished. Data also provides accountability in the intervention, showing clearly whether or not progress is occurring.
Data should be used to evaluate your staff’s procedures daily
Expect your staff to keep clear and careful records of all sessions
Ensure that staff is as careful and scientific in data collection as possible
Staff should review data each day before beginning trials, to ensure everyone is using the same level of prompts, etc.
